    Sonia from Apartivo

Hi! I'm Sonia — your host here at Apartivo.

If you're staying with us for a couple of weeks or more, you're probably here for work — but that doesn't mean your time in Trnava has to be all business.

Whether you want to unwind after a long day at the factory, get some fresh air, or plan a weekend trip, I've put together a list of my favorite ways to enjoy the city — the same ones I recommend to our guests all the time.

🚶‍♂️ Take a Slow Walk Through the Historic Center

    Historic Center of Trnava

Trnava's old town is compact, peaceful, and full of hidden gems. A short evening walk can be the perfect way to decompress. I recommend starting on Hlavná ulica, heading toward Trojičné námestie, and ending your walk with a view from the City Tower if it's still open.

💡 My personal favorite: the Synagóga Café — a restored synagogue turned into a café and cultural space. It's beautiful and quiet, perfect for reading or chatting.

🍽️ Full Dinner or Wine Outside? Head to Akadémia

If you're looking for a nice place to sit down for a proper lunch or dinner, Akadémia (inside the Nádvorie courtyard) is one of my go-to spots. The food is excellent, and the outdoor seating is great in warmer months. It's a bit on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality and atmosphere.

🍷 Want Something More Casual? Wine Bars I Love

    Cozy Wine Bar Scene

For a relaxed evening, here are three local wine bars that many of our guests fall in love with:

Viecha u Sedliaka – Rustic, local, and great wine. viecha.skBezkydov – Cozy and thoughtful, with natural wines. bezkydov.sk
Kavino – Wine, books, and quiet charm. kavino.sk

And if you're up for a scenic afternoon drive, I highly recommend Terra Parna — a beautiful winery in the nearby village of Suchá nad Parnou. Great wine, peaceful views, and a perfect weekend stop. terraparna.sk

🏞️ Weekend Getaways & Nature Walks

    Nature Trails near Trnava

If you're staying over a weekend and want to explore nature, here are my top picks — all under 45 minutes away:

Smolenice Castle – A fairytale castle surrounded by forest trails • Majdan – A great hiking area just past Smolenice, especially beautiful in spring and autumn • Piešťany Spa – Famous for its wellness treatments and riverside charm • Včelovina Meadery – Slovak honey wine tasting with a local family vibe (book ahead)

You'll find hiking paths, picnic spots, and views that make it worth the short drive. If you need help planning transport or routes, just message me — happy to help.

    🚴‍♀️ Something Active?

If you prefer to move your body after work, here are a few ways to stay active nearby:

Bolt scooters – Fun and easy way to cruise around town or take a ride out to Kamenný mlyn • City Water Park – Indoor swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms • Kamenný mlyn or Štrky – Great for jogging, walking, or just a peaceful pause in nature • Smolenice hiking trails – Especially the routes to Čertov žľab or the lookout tower above the castle

    💬 Final Tip from Me

Trnava is safe, green, and always full of quiet corners to discover. Even if your days are packed with meetings, there's always time for a walk, a great meal, or a glass of wine.

If you want help planning your free time — or just need a local recommendation — I'm just a WhatsApp message away 💛
